CabSpace
by Zystrix
Just when you thought it was safe to commit to a particular rockin’
sound, along comes some brand new and modern sounding guitar IR
reverbs designed specifically for guitar cabs. CabSpace. This batch
contains over 400 orginal guitar reverb samples only found here.
Most of these are subtle reverbs. The majority are guitar cab isolation
booths based on wood, carpet, or a combination of these materials
and they tend to bring out the resonance of the cabinet. Just bleed a
little into the mix and the guitar cabinet tone becomes wider, louder,
reinforced, and sustained. They go perfectly with the new
Djammincabs Maxxx 4x12 or almost any other guitar cabinet IR.
There are also about 60 larger reverbs of various studio room sizes
and they get progressively larger to hall size. The last 22 are
experimental reverbs for those who prefer a strange huge sound. Try
them in your favorite reverb convolver and record your hottest guitar
licks. All of these 432 samples are recorded in beautiful 24-bit 48K
Wav. Listen to the reverb examples below for some ideas.

ALESIS WEDGE
Once upon a time, back when people still recorded to tape (1990s), there was
a recording desk style reverb called the Alesis Wedge. It was a hot item and
had a cool reverb sound. Download the Alesis Wedge reverb IRs. Then plug
these throw-backs from 1997 into your DAW, kick back, and stroll down
amnesia lane.
LEXICON MPX-1
If yet more 1990s nostalgia is what you’re after then download the reverbs
from the Lexicon MPX-1. It came out in about 1996 and was a hit for a short
while -- some reviewers at the time said it was an audio equivalent to the
Lexicon PCM 80.
REVERB RELICS XT
Some people also enjoy traveling farther back in time to the main-stay reverbs
of the 50s through the 80s. Old plates, oil cans, guitar amp springs, and
expensive early pioneering digital processors were the cutting edge
workhorses of the time. Many of those sounds are now considered curiosities,
but occasionally a discerning engineer will pause, reflect, and decide to
download Reverb Relics of the past.
ZYSTRIX MODERN REVERBS
This reverb collection has over 400 original sounds: ambience, bass drum,
recording studios with tall ceilings, rockin’ guitar rooms, big rock club stages,
arenas, and more. None of them are real places; they are imitations of the
real thing. But they sound damn cool. And they are free. So click here to
download over 400 free reverb IRs. You never know, you might find a few you
can actually do.
ZYSTRIX BONUS MODERN REVERBS
And if you need more reverbs simply download this Free BONUS room reverb
pack with over 200 new sounds. They range from a trailer park closet to a
home improvement center kitchen to a modern service garage. Add them to
your collection. Save your money -- there’s no need to buy reverbs
somewhere else. And to my ear these sound better anyway.
Enjoy.
